This addition to the Warrior family is the result of over 30 years producing first class angling boats for the serious fisherman and the novice alike. We have listened to customer comments and taken on board constructive criticism from prominent angling journalist to produce what we would describe as the best 17′ boat on the market today.

It’s superb performance and superior manoeuvrability at speed is down to the remarkable hull, originally designed by the late John Moxham for the Warrior 170 Leisure, then enhanced by the Warrior team after many years of putting the hull to the test in all sea states. The hull layup has been designed, with a lot of help from leading naval architect Bruce Sexton-Barrow, to maximise strength using different multi axial fabrics whilst reducing the resin content. The hull is then reinforced with a light weight matrix, this is a separate moulding chemically bonded in with a Lloyds approved urethane acrylate structural adhesive to provide strength and give the boat a second buoyancy chamber.  The floor moulding has also benefited from the use of structural foam, which is then bonded to the matrix using the same structural adhesive.

The result is a boat that has been independently tested by HPi Verification Services to meet the latest design and construction standards of EN ISO 12215-5 and EN ISO 12215-6,  with a design speed of 45 knots. To our knowledge no other 17′ leisure boat is built to these standards.

The deck moulding has been raised to allow the use of electric windlasses or drum winches, and the cuddy lengthened to further protect the driving position and to balance the extra weights of todays four stroke engines.  The perfect balance, the extra weight and the added stiffness make the 170 Pro-Angler a leader in it’s class and will undoubtedly be the first choice of the connoisseur.

The interior seat moulding has been split to allow you to stand when you retrieve the anchor through the large forward hatch and access the self-draining anchor locker.

There are three forward lockers, one of which has an underfloor conduit to the console allowing additional batteries to be fitted for bow mount motors if required, there are two handy pockets situated on the top of the seat moulding. The steering console has been raised and widened to enable the flush fitting of electronics and comes with five water resistant switches. Hydraulic steering is standard, a 100 amp fuse box is standard.

To the rear there is a built in 45lt live bait well complete with a through hull live well pump and sea cock, both the live well pump and electric bilge pump are now mounted under the floor in front of the rear gunwale for easy access and maintenance. The rear gunwale has also been covered with King star board and acts as a convenient work station. Two battery compartments are housed in the rear gunwale for easy cleaning of the floor and a Blue sea battery switch and automatic charge relay is now fitted as standard. The engine well is large enough to allow large four stroke engines to tilt fully and four 25 gallon fuel tanks can be housed  underneath in a purpose built well. A new telescopic boarding ladder allows easy access into the boat either from the water or on a trailer.

The floor is covered in Seadek HD and has a centre compartment, with a drain plug, ideal for putting fenders, ropes etc.
